Pochod proti diabetu

Dne 14. 11. 2009 se v rámci Světového dne diabetu uskuteční Pochod proti diabetu. Cílem pochodu je poukázat na nárůst pacientů s tímto onemocněním a možnosti prevence této nemoci. Zúčastněte se pochodu i vy.

Barva kampaně OSN je modrá. Účastníci pochodu proti diabetu budou tvořit živé modré kruhy a ve větších městech budou na celém světě v den pochodu nasvíceny dominanty měst „na modro“. V ČR budou na modro svítit v Brně Hrad Špilberk a Praze Žižkovská věž a kyvadlo na Letné.

Pochod proti diabetu se uskuteční na 85 místech v České republice. Největší akce však proběhne v Brně, a to v rámci projektu Brno-zdravé město, pod záštitou 1. náměstka primátora města Brna MUDr. Daniela Rychnovského.

Tváří pochodu se stal oblíbený herec a brněnský rodák Pavel Kříž, který má již několik let s onemocněním vlastní zkušenosti. K hlavním lákadlům brněnské akce bude patřit modré nasvícení hradu Špilberk a doprovodný program v divadle Reduta, který je od 14h pro širokou veřejnost zdarma. Zájemci si zde budou moci nechat změřit glykémii a krevní tlak, poradit se o správné výživě, prohlédnout si výstavu obrázků dětí a ukázku techniky severské chůze – nordic walking .

Od 15 hodin je pro všechny zdarma připravena Pohádka o malém Mozartovi a velkém drakovi. Po návratu z pochodu bude od 17:30 program v divadle pokračovat Sladkým koncertem Sisy Sklovské a Vladimíra Mišíka s kapelou ETC, na který bude možné zakoupit slosovatelné vstupenky přímo na místě. Z výtěžku prodeje vstupenek je třetina určena na veřejnou sbírku, z níž oddělení diabetologie Fakultní nemocnice u svaté Anny v Brně zakoupí nové přístrojové vybavení.

Od začátku listopadu můžete do veřejné sbírky přispívat i vy, kdo se pochodu nestihnete zúčastnit, a to na účet číslo: 232 687 454 / 0300.

Diabetes mellitus 2. typu neboli cukrovka 2. typu je celosvětově závažnou chorobou, jež dosahuje rozměrů pandemie. Je to závažné chronické onemocnění, které významně ovlivňuje kvalitu a délku života jedinců s diabetem. Cukrovce se také říká „tichý zabiják“ - není vidět a nebolí, ale její včasné odhalení velice usnadní její léčbu a sníží riziko pozdních komplikaci, které ne zřídka končí smrtí.

V České republice se léčí s cukrovkou přes 750 tisíc lidí s diabetem, což je přibližně 7,5 % naší populace. To je asi o 100 tisíc nemocných více než v roce 2000.

    Myslím, že všechny akce tohoto typu jsou super! I lidé, kteří nemají diabetes by měli o tomto problému vědět a snažit se pomoci těm, kteří takové štěstí neměli.
